AD and Exchange Scripts

Anybody know of a script (VBScript preferably) out there that allows you to import an excel/text/csv file into Active Directory - and for each line item - have it create a user account in a specified OU, and create an exchange mailbox at the same time? I've been surfing the microsoft tech-net scripts - and found something to create the user accounts (though I haven't tried it yet) - but haven't seen anything yet that includes the automation of exchange mailbox creation. I don't know that there is an "import" script out there - but if I had the syntax to run the script - I can really easily edit my file for the script and wala (that's what I was going to do with the user account creation only script ... but thought I would see if anybody out there knew of a more full-featured script.) I'm trying to find a way to get out of creating 200 user/exchange accounts by hand. :arg:

Evidently Nashville is Talking a lot Recently

Brittany Gilbert is one of the first full-time paid bloggers - she maintains a very frequently updated blog - Nashville is Talking - for the ABC affiliate, WKRN 2, here in Nashville. Within three days, my blog and two blogs of people I know were all linked at Nashville is Talking. Here's my link, Katherine's link, and Patrick/Lydia's link! Burning the Flag in the Land of the Free

While checking out a new blog [visit Katherine] - I found a link to this news story about the house approving a move to outlaw flag burning. Katherine and I have similar views on the topic - [see her thoughts here]. Whenever I see anything on this topic - I am reminded of one of my favorite movies, The American President. A great quote can be found in a scene where Michael Douglas (the President) is talking to the press about a photo found of his girlfriend (played by Annette Bening) burning a flag in a protest in her college days.

You want free speech? Let’s see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil who is standing center stage advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours … The symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then you can stand up and sing about the land of the free.

All we get is one extra lane?

Construction has been horrendous on I-40 in Nashville for several years now -- around the I-40/Briley Parkway area. From all appearances it looked like we were going to get 2 extra lanes on each side. Within the past week or so they've finished and opened up the east-bound side. One lane. Basically 4 years of construction and all we get is one new lane? They've added new exit/on ramps at the

White Bridge Rd/Charlotte Pike/Briley Parkway intersections ... but it's just moved traffic around a little bit. I haven't noticed any ease in congestion. One extra lane. Unbelievable! And it's still not even a HOV lane. We have no HOV lanes in West Nashville!! What's the deal? I know some of our south and east Nashville friends say the HOV lanes aren't enforced ... but at least they have them.

New Coke is zero-splendaicky

At the grocery store this weekend (Publix rocks!) - there was a deal that you could get a free bottle of Coke Zero and Diet Coke with Splenda with the purchase of 2 regular bottles. I'd heard from a friend that the Diet Coke with Splenda tasted just like regular Coke - so we got a bottle of each to test. Excited by the possibility of having a better-for-you drink of coke - as soon as we got home we poured a glass of each to try it out. :crazy: Yeah - the Diet Coke with Splenda kinda tastes like regular Coke. And the Coke Zero kinda tastes like regular Coke. But there's no -- buzz - none of the "bite". You know what I'm talking about? It was like ... flavored water basically. Blech. Thus ended the taste test. (The two free bottles have been deposited in the break room at the office. Because I can't just throw stuff away. Maybe some people LIKE flavored water ... :sick:)
