Best line of the night:
Marshall: "er ... Sloane is here"
Sydney: "we know"
How many people actually thought Sydney was getting transferred to the mailroom? I mean ... seriously? She's their best agent. We knew it was a setup for something ... I was just waiting for a Credit Dauphine type location to show up next. In the subway is cool though ...
Great scene when Syd walks around the corner and the camera pans from Dixon ... to Jack ... to Vaughn. And then of course ... we see Sloane. This brings us back to what made this show great in the beginning. A secret organization ... (yeah yeah the CIA is secretive ... but it's not black-ops-meets-in-the-subway secret).
I think the writers did a switcharoo on what the big secret was on the top-secret papers. Last season ... it totally seemed like it had something to do with Sydney's childhood. Like Jack signed off on some experimental project to do with her. But now ... did they rewrite it to just get rid of Irina for forever since Lena Olin wouldn't come back? Who knows. It's just hard to believe that Irina went from imming with Jack in his car and doing things to HELP Sydney to suddenly putting a contract out on her life. Oh well ... maybe we'll learn more later.
I was almost bouncing up and down last night watching this. It's my favorite show ... and it's back. And there will be a new episode EVERY SINGLE WEEK until the end of the season. Love that!!!
Other great things: No Lauren ... Marshall was brought in ... Marshall's "Robot Dixon" line ... the new intro with ALL the outfits over the past few seasons. Go Jennifer Garner!
Still pondering: where is Weiss going to fit in? I don't love Nadia ... so not too thrilled with her joining the team;

So I guess I have some things to look forward to in seasons 2 and 3. I've just finished season 1. It gets better, right?
Oh, I totally agree with them totally switching the reason behind the papers. I just can't accept that Irina is dead. And especially put a contract on Sydney's life. It's surreal, even for Alias.
Another thing I didn't like what Sydney being saved all the time when during the first season she quickly got out of jams.
i'm a new alias convert so "How many people actually thought Sydney was getting transferred to the mailroom?"
-i had no idea although the logician in me said that there was no way in hell since the premise of the show would be destroyed. i'm actually excited about this show, and i've never really been able to get into it before.
I completely agree, they must've changed it!! Last year it looked like it had something to do with Sydney's childhood not with her mother being killed. Anyways, wonderful site!!!
I want to get the previous seasons on DVD so I can catch up. I'm not sure why I never watched Alias from the beginning, but I sure do like it now!
A couple of other shows that are really good right now are Lost and Medium. *nods*
I'm not a fan of the new intro because they changed the music. I hate when they do that because I'm already USED to what was there BEFORE and it's just part of the show, darnit. And I don't like when they make the intro all about the main character - there are people other than Sydney on the show. So that was a little irritating for me.
I know, the experiment thing annoyed me. It looked like she'd been made active in the CIA in 1975, when she was born, like he'd entered her into some trial/experiment then. Now they all the sudden change that? I hope it gets resolved. And I'm not thrilled about Nadia either - I don't think I like any new people. I'm wanting Kendall back. I hope they don't send Syd and Nadia out together all the time, because Dixon is her partner. Not Vaughn, not Jack, not this... NEW girl. There's no way I trust Nadia/Sloane working together for the CIA. Too convenient, that one.
