The Forgotten

Steve and I wanted a break from walking all day, so we stopped in at a theatre in downtown San Francisco and this was the only movie we were even halfway interested in. (We've gotten too used to going to cheap matinees ... tickets are $10 a pop here!)

I like Julianne Moore, and her performance in this film is pretty good. She plays Tilly, a woman who is mourning her son Sam. The weird thing is that her husband, therapist, and everyone around her doesn't remember Sam. They all think she's delusional. But she knows she can't have just made it all up ... and eventually she finds another person who also has a child that everyone seems to have forgotten. Is it a government cover-up? Are the children really dead? Who is powerful enough to erase memories? And why does Tilly remember when no one else does?

Parts of this movie are Sixth-Sense-ish ... and I jumped in my seat quite a few times. A good film ... I left the theatre feeling like I'd been entertained :)

(We're off to Vegas tomorrow! Woohoo!)
