If there can be good news when it comes to cancer, we got some.
My grampy had a PET scan last Friday to determine if the cancer had spread anywhere other than the one spot in his lung. We found out yesterday (which was, incidentaly, my Grandmother's 85th birthday) that is hasn't spread. It's only the one spot in his lung. That is definitely a prayer answered. My grandmother said getting that news was one of the best birthday presents ever. Now we just have concentrate on his treatment options (he has an appointment with the oncologist today). It's going to be a rough time ahead ... but at least we are only fighting that one area.

Wow, I totally missed this article in your news feed. I know he has some tough times ahead, but this certainly makes things a lot less complicated. That's very good news.
