C2 Taste Test

| | Comments (4) | TrackBacks (0)

Coca-Cola has released their new "Half the Carbs, Half the Cals, All the Great Taste" C2. We picked up a six pack yesterday to try it out. We poured a glass of Coke, a glass of Diet Coke, and a glass of C2. Their slogan should be "Half the Carbs, Half the Cals, Have to Pour It Down the Drain". It basically tasted like coke that had been left open for a week - no fizz or 'bite'. I drink Diet Coke anyway - so it wasn't a great loss for me; but Steve, who doesn't like Diet Coke at all, said he'd rather drink that than the C2. I think I'll donate the rest of the six-pack to the office and see what they think.

Isn't Diet Coke carb free anyways?

Yep - we weren't trying it for me. My husband drinks regular coke -- and he was hoping the C2 would taste good enough for him to switch to the lower cal/lower carb drink.

I prefer Diet Coke anyway - regular Coke tastes really sweet to me.

I think I might have worded the entry oddly -what I meant was that my husband hates the taste of Diet Coke - but that he would rather drink it than this C2.

I'm a Coke-A-Holic, but I can't stand flat cokes! To be more specific, I never even finish a coke because once it gets warm, I won't drink it! I'm so glad you warned me because I almost purchased one during break yesterday thinking it was a new Cherry Coke :uhh: Anyways, your site is beautiful... I love the strawberries :heartbeat:

Btw - my best friend lives in Nashville. Her father is a songwriter :)

do you think theirs a differnce between coke and off brand cola?
