My faith is restored

This morning on the way to work, we saw a state trooper pull over a metro police car for speeding. Lights flashing and everything. We then see the metro police guy standing beside his car with the state trooper pointing in his face. :whip: It looked very much like Mr. Speeding Metro Policeman was gettting a tongue-lashing.

:cloud9: Ah. It was a great moment. Perhaps my faith has been restored in the police -- even if it just one state trooper doing his job.

This observation comes on the heels of an experience I had last week. I came up to a traffic light. Stopped. A police car was in the lane that had just turned green. Suddenly, a car zoomed past me and didn't even attempt to brake even though the light had been red long before he got there. He just zooms right through the intersection. The police car does nothing. The guy blatantly ran a red light and the police car does nothing. What exactly are my taxes paying for? :headache: Obviously they're paying for that cop who was too lazy to turn his lights on and give a deserving person a ticket.

Ugh. It's so frustrating the way things work.

$10 says that that if your registration had been expired, he would've pulled you over in a heartbeat.
