Depressing blogs = no comments? :worried: (thanks Addie!) Oh well -- my week has gotten better. Speaking of dear Addie -- be sure to check out her site and its brand spanking new layout.
This weekend promises to be a busy one. For the past 2 months we've been preparing a section of our back yard to extend our deck. We had to excavate lots of dirt in order to be able to build the new deck level with the current deck -- and thats taken a lot of back breaking work from Steve - but it's all going to pay off. This weekend we're ready to get the joists and beams in place and if we don't run into too many problems and have good weather, we might even get a few of the deck floor boards down. The new deck is going to extend 16 feet further into our backyard than the existing one -- and curve a few feet around our driveway. We're going to build in some benches as well and eventually get some nice outdoor furniture -- I want a big comfy chair/lounger out there so I can sit and read (although it will be next summer before it will be warm enough to sit and read outside!).
A few very brief words about a few season premieres:
Alias -- wow! She was really gone 2 years, and after her ripping into Vaughn last week, I'm wondering what is in store for these two! I'm a big S/V shipper -- so I'm hoping for a reunion eventually!
Gilmore Girls -- the loralei's continue to be favorites of mine. It will be interesting to see how the dynamic changes with Rory being away at school. Thank Goodness Luke isn't going to be married for long -- when that divorce goes through, do you think we'll see any L/L action? I'm ready for a kiss! Just one! Come on ....
ER -- Still deciding on this one. I never have been a Luka fan, and I don't really think he's dead, but I'm not sure I really care if he is? I guess we'll see this week. I think John will find him alive and bring him back.
Friends -- No No No to Joey and Rachel.
West Wing -- I didn't mind John Goodman too much. Of course they couldn't totally make Republicans out to be careless oafs who didn't know anything about governing ... it was good they were fair in their representation. But I was glad this week to see President Bartlett back in the oval office. It will be interesting to see what kind of psychological effects Zoey's kidnapping will have on Zoey and on the Bartlett's marriage.
Angel -- Just saw snippest of this premiere since its on at the same time as West Wing. Not sure if I'm going to like Spike and Angel being on the same show again. But I'm willing to stick it out as long as every once in a while we get a little Buffy visit and get some good B/A scenes!!
Buffy -- I still don't want to believe it. Buffy is over. I want new episodes. :weep:
 Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire -- I'm liking this new show. We've seen two episodes, and it's classic David Kelly. Reminds me a bit of Picket Fences. He totally went over the bend on Boston Public, so I'm hoping this new show will keep its quirkiness but not become totally ridiculous and unbelievable.
I liked the Angel ep, and the ending was great. Should be a great season. We need to post reviews donthcathink?
Yep -- and now that we have our new dual tuner tivo -- we can finally tivo both angel and west wing (as well as ER and Without a Trace-- finally! dual tuner rocks!). Maybe you could open up your forum again for angel!
Color me jealous. You have NO idea how I long for tivo! :weep:
Hope you are enjoying them (I know you are)!
I really have no idea who you are, other than a possible friend of a friend, Patrick Watts. I got your weblink from his site. I just had to say that we have almost identical taste in tv shows and that's kind of reaffirming... to find someone else who is a Joss Whedon, Amy Sherman-Palladino and J.J. Abrahams junkie!
