Steve's football (soccer) website was hacked yesterday. They put up a picture of some guy in a turban holding up a passport from Iraq or something and a bunch of words in arabic and then in English - Down, Down USA. They'd changed his passwords and deleted all his email accounts. Not very bright hackers since the website is for an English soccer team -- and I can probably count on one hand the number of Americans that would view that website. Oh well -- since I manage all our domains through a reseller account it was fairly simple and quick to go in and change the password and delete the crap files. Now we're trying to sort out how it happened, what directories were vulnerable, etc. He's thinking it was one of his poll scripts -- with the file permissions at 777 or something -- so we're locking down everything for the time being.

To avoid getting blasted from Jeff, Addie, and Rob for not saying anything (like last year) -- my birthday is only 2 days away! :present: On Sunday, September 21-- I'm going to be 26! (and all I can think is that 30 is just around the corner!!! It seems like just yesterday I was turning 21 -- am I in some sort of time vortex that is making the years go by at light speed?) Steve gave me 26 roses yesterday and they are gorgeous in a crystal vase at the house ... he's really good about flowers and gifts and cards and things (and he always finds the BEST cards ... he doesn't just yank one out of the card rack so he can have one to give me -- he actually looks for one that says something he wants to say. :hug:)
