It's Friday! Finally! What a long week this has been .... I thought the weekend would never get here. We don't have any plans other than a Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers concert tomorrow night. It's being held at an outdoor amphitheatre and although we have reserved seats I'm still hoping for no rain. We've had rain every day this week, and even with seats its just going to make the whole thing yucky if its raining. Our summer has been strange here. I don't think we've had more than 3 days of successive nice weather. We've had really bad rain and thunderstorms at least twice a week almost all summer. Finding time to mow the lawn is difficult because the grass seems to always be wet -- so when we have two days in a row with no rain, we're outside trying to get all this stuff done that we can't do in the rain. Ugh. I remember when we moved here almost three years ago (three years! wow! time flies!) -- I wondered why I had never heard that Nashville gets a lot of rain. Whew. At least we all have green lawns and lush plants :)
Did you read about Ted Williams body being cryogenically preserved? I don't know if technology might eventually figure out how to restore life to someone who has died and been frozen. But I do think there is a better chance of doing it if his HEAD is still ATTACHED. How is that supposed to work? That means they've got to figure out how to bring him back to life AND reattach his head and solve the whole spinal cord severed problem. Not likely.
How could you let yourself get to this state? I can't imagine.
Was I the only girl growing up who every time I got in a swimming pool would do handstands and try to do other things .... and think it would be kinda neat to do synchronized swimming?
