Is anyone else out there quickly becoming a "Monster House" fan? We watched our first episode about 3 weeks ago and after it was over, we added it to our tivo as a season pass (which means tivo will auto-record every episode aired). Every episode I watch makes me like this show even more. We have a different cast of character each week help out Steve Watson, the host (who happens to be from Chattanooga, TN -- where I grew up!). The first episode we saw was the Medievel Castle -- and it's just a fun show, totally unlike Trading Spaces or any of the typical home shows. You don't watch this show to get ideas for your house -- because I know I certainly don't want a drawbridge dining room table or a bed on hydraulics :whoa: -- you watch this show for pure entertainment. To see who they've rounded up for the crew this week ... do they have lots of experienced carpenters, a robotics person, a metal worker or do they have a novice carpenter and a perfectionist cabinet maker? Each week the crew is different! Each week a family has requested a different THEMED house. So far, we've seen castle, old west, hollywood and race-car themed houses. I think the next episode is a Zen house.
(The premise of the show is a family signs up to be on the show and requests that their house be made into a _____ -- pick your poison; MH picks out 5 crew members and they have 5 days to transform the house. THey have specific projects that they must have completed by Day 5 at midnight. If they have everything done, each crew member receives over $3000 worth of pretty cool tools.)
If you haven't checked it out ... surf on over to the Discovery Channel and enjoy an episode! And who knows .... maybe you DO want a bed on hydraulics ;)

Maybe I *do* want a bed on hydraulics. Haha, that would be ultra-cool.
YES! Steve Watson is the man! I love Monster House. Steve is hansome and entertaining... and I love the drama that comes with differing contractors and carpenters. I wish I was talented so I could be on that show. *lol*
have a nice day.
