We have had a great couple of weekends lately. I was out of town last weekend, but on Memorial Day weekend, we painted our office upstairs and built a cool desk. We bought two ready-made countertops from Home Depot and made a great L-shaped desk along two walls in the office. For about $120 we got enough work space for three computers, a printer, two scanners and we still have room leftover for writing space and a few odds and ends. It looks pretty cool too!!
Then, this past weekend, we painted our dining room, spent several hours out in the yard working, and I had a nice relaxing afternoon on Sunday reading a book in my favorite chair. For the first time in a very long time, I actually felt refreshed and ready for a new week. Usually I'm so tired and it feels like the weekend just flew by -- but this weekend was just a nice change. We didn't leave the house other than one time, and that was just for an hour to go out and get some pizza for dinner. I think that might be it -- we just stayed home and piddled around there -- whereas usually we'll get out, hang out at Barnes & Noble or Best Buy for a while, have a Starbucks, and then maybe catch a movie or something, which is nice, but there's just something about staying home sometimes.

Sweet! (Dude! Sweet! Dude!) I'm digging the new layout, Lacy. This is the best one you've done in a while. Well, since the girl on the swing one, which seems like ages ago. I love the text superimposed over the images - very cool. And the floating menu works. Nice job!
