We found a house!

Wow! It's been almost two weeks since my last blog. I think my blogging is going to be pretty irregular til mid-April. The musical I was involved in is finished -- all the performances went really well and we didn't have any major mishaps. We were having 4 rehearsals a week for about 2 months now, so I'm relieved to finally have my life back. It will be strange to be home every night this week. Wow!

In the midst of the theatre madness, Steve and I also managed to look at a few homes last weekend. We were surprised to find one that we both liked -- and we put in a bid. After countering back and forth, the sellers finally accepted our offer. We had the home inspection on Friday -- and it passed with flying colors. Soooo our closing date is set for March 21st and we get possession of the house on the 23rd! One month from today we'll have a house! Wow!! It's amazing how fast things can move when it's the RIGHT place. We've put in offers on several properties -- houses and land -- and it's never worked out. This has been amazingly fast -- but we still feel really good about it.

It's everything we were looking for -- almost three acres, a big front porch, and we both love Victorian-looking homes! We've been looking for a house since August of last year -- so we're very excited that a house has finally come on the market that fits our needs and is in our price range. I guess we'll start the whole packing process sometime this week -- we have to be moved out of our apartment by April 1. So we basically have seven days between getting the keys to the house and having to turn over our keys to the apartment. I can't wait!!

I'll try to blog tomorrow sometime! I'm going to watch ALIAS now :) (Oh - and be sure to check out Addie's new layout!)

w00t! Congrats on the house purchase. Three acres is a lot of room. So what is the building in the right of the picture? Is it a garage? Or is that part of the house?

garage - cool though. It's attached to the house - but you can't really see the attaching part. LOL It's a two-car garage and the top part is all storage. Steve is already getting excited about landscaping everywhere -- he's loving the 3 acres!

i tagged, but it disappeared - LOVE the house, it's so gorgeous! congratulations! so very exciting. :)

i don't blog much myself! though I try as much as possible. No time.
