We got over eight inches of snow within a 90 minute period and it's still snowing. It took me FIVE, yes FIVE, hours to get home from work. FIVE HOURS. All during that five hours I was gripping the steering wheel trying to keep from skidding or getting stuck or sliding. The gridlock getting out of downtown was unbelievable. Frankly, I'm surprised it only took five hours. Now I realize for those of you living up north, that eight inches of snow isn't that big of a deal. Hey, when we lived in DC - we got several feet of snow all the time -- but they are also better prepared to deal with it up there. Our apartment complex in D.C. had their own snow plow. In the south - where you don't get snowstorms all that frequently - a few inches of snow quickly turns into a major problem. Hence the five hour journey home. (A journey which normally takes me about 15 minutes!!!!) The snow is pretty, but UGH!!!!!
8 Inches ... of SNOW!

Hey Lacy! Yes, I live near you! I live in Franklin, and you probably know where that is. Hope you're enjoying the snow as much as I am! My yard is so pretty!
Franklin! Cool ... I'm in Bellevue! The roads are much better today - thank goodness! I work downtown - and it was a nightmare getting out of there yesterday. Eck!!
FIVE hours? FIVE? Yikes, that's some serious snowage. Is it still on the ground, or has it all melted now?
I meant to comment on the house news, but I forgot. soooo. That's GREAT news. Good luck with the bid.
Hey - it's still on the ground, and we have nice frozen icy roads ... and right now its snowing again. LOL I guess we'll have a few more inches by tomorrow morning. Fun! It is beautiful though ... I love seeing snow-laden trees !
