I went and had my nails done today -- we'll see how long I can manage to keep them on this time. The last time I had them done was for my wedding -- and I kept them on for 3 weeks before they started to drive me crazy. I had them done a little shorter this time -- so hopefully they won't annoy me. I always get the "american manicure" look -- because I don't like how white the french manicure looks. I prefer natural looking ones. Anyway - I took a picture -- sorry its a little blurry!
:fridayfive: Is it already Friday Five time again?
1. Would you say that you're good at keeping in touch with people?
Pretty good - at least with my close friends. I like sending cards and emails - but it's a two way street. I have one friend that no matter how often I write her, I hear from her like twice a year.
2. Which communication method do you usually prefer/use: e-mail, telephone, snail mail, blog comments, or meeting in person? Why?
Email; Although with blogs, I usually just leave a comment instead of emailing. It's just quicker --- although sometimes I still send a snail-mail card for birthdays and other special occasions.
3. Do you have an instant messenger program? How many? Why/why not? How often do you use it?
I have MSN messenger installed and talk to like 2 or 3 people on it. And not really regularly. I have AOL IM installed to talk to one specific person. I keep trying to convince him to get MSN though - so I can get rid of the AOL IM program.
4. Do most of your close friends live nearby or far away?
Unfortunately, most of my close friends live far away. We've only lived in Nashville for a little over a year -- and I haven't developed any CLOSE friendships with anybody here yet. I have friends here - but none I would really consider close friends.
5. Are you an "out of sight, out of mind" person, or do you believe that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"?
Depends on what the relationship was like BEFORE you were separated. Steve and I long distance dated for 2 years -- and we both hated being far apart, so I guess in our case, "distance made the heart grow fonder". But then there are friends that I probably would have considered good friends when I was living in Cleveland -- but now that I'm living in another city -- I hardly ever speak to them -- I guess our friendship wasn't that important to either of us!
Well -- I'm off to finish packing a bag for this weekend. I'm off to Clevegas for my 25th birthday (which is tomorrow! woohoo!). Later!!

yo'. nice pagee, it's off the wall. :evillaugh:
