Rain. Rain. And More RAIN.

July 3rd. Wow. It's hard to believe that a year has passed so quickly. This time last year, Steve and I had just moved here from D.C. Sometimes I miss it, but most of the time I'm so glad we're gone. The only thing I really dislike about Nashville (other than it being a smaller city ... Steve and I were both used to Chicago and D.C. type cities) is the HUGE amount of rain that we get here. I am NOT a "singing in the rain" type of person. I don't like rain. I realize we need rain to grow things - but we don't need the amount of rain that Nashville gets. Last night we had yet another bad storm -- pounding rain, lots of lightning and thunder -- really loud. All night long. You can guess how the flowers on our porch are doing. I've just about decided to give up on them.

Yesterday was a TV day - I wasn't feeling well and just vegged out in front of the TV. Let's see -- I watched "Ocean's 11", "When Harry Met Sally", the BTVS episode "Once More With Feeling", several eps of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", "Spy Game" (rental), and I squeezed in a few episodes of my favorite home improvement show, "Trading Spaces". It was definitely a TV day. I was getting mad at our DVD player though. It's a 3-disc player and when you play a DVD in the #3 deck, it always gets hung about 2/3 of the way through the DVD -- it plays the same 10 seconds over and over again, and then finally moves on and plays the rest of the movie. Then it does it again about 10 minutes later. Grrrr. I finally got up off my lazy butt yesterday and just moved the DVD to another deck - but still - it's annoying.
