Hallmark gets me every time

LMAO! My brother just sent this to me -- Indecent Proposal -- hehe! Quite amusing :)

Time for the Friday Five: When was the last time you ....

1. sent a handwritten letter?
Around a month ago - I sent a letter and card to a college friend. I LOVE handwritten cards and letters. Even though email is great -- nothing beats opening your mailbox and finding a card from a friend. My husband and I did the long-distance (900 miles) dating thing for 2 years before we got married - and we found out that we are BOTH big card people. I have a HUGE box of cards and letters from him -- I think that was one of the reasons I fell in love with him. The man KNOWS how to pick out a good card.

2. baked something from scratch or made something by hand?
Quite often really -- but the best-tasting thing I've made was for Thanksgiving. I made a pumpkin roll from scratch and it was yummy delicious!

3. camped in a tent?
It has been YEARS. I don't even remember the last time -- but I was 12 or 13 I think.

4. volunteered your time to church, school, or community?
Atleast once or twice a week -- I do my church's website on a volunteer basis. We do a large update once a week with all the news, photos, staff articles, etc. It's something that is easy for me to do, and it's nice to be able to contribute something!

5. helped a stranger?
Last weekend Steve and I were at the mall, and this young girl was pushing her car (all by herself) down the road. We pulled over and Steve pushed the car while she steered it into a parking space. We took her to a phone and made sure she had someone coming for her. I always try to help people like that, beacuse over the years, I have been that girl many many times. One time, when I was about 17, my car broke down ON an exit ramp of the interstate. Really bad place. Two tractor trailers pulled over and these two big guys get out .... and they looked kinda scary ... but they turned out to be really nice and total gentlemen. They pushed my car down the ramp and quite a ways into a parking lot. They looked the car over a bit and waited with me until my dad got there. There ARE some nice people out there -- so anyway -- anytime I see people having car trouble, I usually at least make sure they have called someone for help.
