I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT ! (well I'm already an aunt on my husband's side ... but this time it's MY brother!)
Last night, after my mom/dad/brother/sister-in-law all got here -- they gave my dad his father's day present (saying they weren't going to see him on the actual day so they just wanted to do it early). He opens it up ... and I see the word "GRANDPA" on this frame ... and I just looked at Glenda (my sis-in-law) and she was giggling and smiling really big and said "Yes! I'm pregnant!". At that point my mom and I started squealing like banchees and ran over and had a hugfest.
It's my parents first grandchild -- so needless to say they are excited. I am excited because my brother, the guy who tortured me as a child, is going to be a daddy. It's so wild. I realize it happens every day to people everywhere -- but it's still awesome when it happens in your family :) It's even more cool & wonderful because my sister-in-law (who is only 26) had a stroke 3 years ago ... and the doctors weren't all that sure if she was going to be able to have children.
I'm just so excited for them (and me too ... hehe! Now I can actually buy all those cute little things I see at the stores .... )
